Splint care and tips

My 12 week old border collie was running around playing with my older dog jumped off the couch, landed wrong and broke her leg. The vet splinted her left hind leg and gave some meds for pain. Shes still super restless and uncomfortable (no surprise) any tips on how to help her? We put her on a big dog bed but doesnt seem to help her much. Tried a kong and some toys which helped for maybe 10 min. I just feel sad for her.

They went with a splint because shes growing. They will be checking it weekly and doing dressing changes bi weekly. We put clear tape around the bottom for waterproofing. Vet did say we could see an ortho specialist if we wanted but because shes young it should heal fast and not bother her later in life. She does seem to be better with the pain meds now maybe they just hadn't kicked in that night. The kong was a great idea kept her entertained for a while last night and I like the pen idea. I want to do what I can for her, shes just a hyper puppy and wants to play so 4 wks of restriction is rough and she's clueless to why we wont let her run around.
