I haven’t been around much for a while. Just wasn’t ready to post about this until now, but my Pug, Kuma, crossed the rainbow bridge in early February. He was 14, but it was still very sudden and shocking. So that’s the sad news.
The happy is that I was able to bring this girl home 6 weeks later. She’ll never replace Kuma, and I still miss him terribly, but she’s definitely has been helping me heal and filled the gaping hole he left. Her name is Wednesday, and she’s a GSD/terrier mix, currently 6 months old.

I'm so sorry for your loss. No matter how long we have them in our lives, it's just never quite long enough, is it?
Your new girl is lovely! I'm glad she's helping you in your healing.
Thank you. It really was hard, especially because it was so unexpected. But Wednesday has helped so much. She’s a handful, and it’s been a learning experience having a puppy again after 14 years, lol, but I love it. :)

I'm so sorry for your loss. Undoubtedly the hardest part of owning a dog is when they have to leave us. I'm happy for you that you've been able to heal through your new girl - who is absolutely adorable!

I'm so happy you found Wednesday to help you heal. She is a gorgeous girl!

Sorry for your loss, RIP Kuma, I didn't get to meet him (vicariously, I am new here), but he really looks like a character.

I also lost my girl at age almost 15, we got a pup 6 months later that has helped us tremendously.

I'm so sorry!! I lost both my dogs last year, 6 weeks apart. Took me 9 months to get another one. They really do take a little chunk of your heart with them when they go. Congrats on your new puppy! She won't replace the one you lost but you will love her just as much.🧡

I’m so sorry for your loss. Kuma must’ve been an absolute joy.
I’m glad that Wednesday has helped you cope, although she will never replace him.
Hopefully you’ll get through this difficult time- It’s kind of hard not to when you have a bundle of happiness romping around the house!
