I've tried the sojo's meatless mix and my pups did ok with it but they prefer The Honest Kitchen. It's similar to Sojo's but they have more formulas available. We use Keen, Thrive, Preference and Zeal.
I'd personally go with Grandma Lucy's. You can't be sure about whether meat is the first ingredient or not in Sojos, plus I've heard of colorful poops on it. THK is way too high in carbs for my tastes too so I wouldn't feed it.I am currently feeding Odin 4Health puppy food. I would like to try a raw diet and was looking at Sojo dog food. Has anyone used it and what was your experience?
Grandma Lucy's is about the same as The Honest Kitchen, carb-wise. I agree that they're both too carby for my taste...more than the kibble I feed even. I would prefer something like Ziwipeak or Stella and Chewy's if you were looking at shelf stable raw diets. To me the point of a raw diet is that it's primarily meat. I don't think GL, THK or Sojos would be harmful, but for the amount of money you're shelling out for these kinds of diets I feel like they're kind of a rip off.I'd personally go with Grandma Lucy's.
