In short.

My family decided to give away the pups THEMSELVES and don't give a crap for the familes i had reserved for 3 of the pups, worst yet? Giving them to random people!

They want to give the pup to our neighbors that have a little 8 year old, and want the pup for their daughter, it just doesn't look right to me, plus, i was blown off, they don't want me out there right when while they are showing the pups, so basically, i lost control of the situation.

I told my family that the pups are not a problem or a complication, they will leave eventually, when they HAVE to leave, not when my family wants them gone.

Two months short, unknown of what size or temperament they are going to be, probably huge shedder, alot of energy, maybe too strong from a little girl.

And what will happen by the end?? Dog goes to street or gets killed by irresponsible owners, or a girls ''I want a puppy mommy, can i have a puppy? can i??''

Ugh! I'm freaking out peeps, FREAKING OUT.

Re: So damn pissed off.

Only 6 weeks, they still have a looong way to go before they get to their new homes, but i think that won't happen...

I tried to explain to our neighbors that a young pup can have future behavioural problems, and that isn't safe for their daughter, but i got buzzed off before that and before i could even show them Apollo so they could get an idea of how big the pups could be...

And what got me VERY pissed, is that my incompetent sister (the one that Apollo thinks is inferior to the pack) tried to manipulate MY DOG, knowing that Apollo doesn't obey her commands, i just hate when she does that.

You live in a family, get used to it. :p My family tries to do that with mine. Even tho mine listen to about half what the family says. I take sessions like that as proofing, in fact my younger siblings are a great help to me in training my competition dogs.

I'm used to it, BUT, i cant afford my sister handling Apollo and because of her inexperience loose grip on the leash while i'm not there, or loose control of Apollo, my dog can get hurt if my sister tried to handle a dog she has never had experience with.

It sucks that your family is disregarding the people you had pups reserved for, I don't think that's right, but on the positive side, the pup that's going to your neighbors, you'll be able to keep an eye on it and help with training and socialization if you stay on their good side. I wouldn't freak out over them having a child either...I have an 8 year old, she's great with my dogs and they're really great with her...I don't know how this particular child is, but dogs and kids are together in homes all the time and for the most part it works out fine.

Well, the huge difference is that your family is dog inclined, this family isn't very pet inclined..

The people i'm talking about, spends alot of time in our real neighbors... but i really do not know where they live exactly.

Buuuut, not to be mean or anything, but i just don't like the kid, she looks like she wants a puppy forever, and just.. forget about it when the dog grows up.

I understand where you're coming from, I would never get a dog just for my kid at this point...maybe you could talk your family into telling these people that you guys will take the pup back if they have any problems? And a least keeping in touch with them?

That could work, but taking the dog back to our home is a no no saddly, that's why i had to look for GOOD families that will keep the pups forever, rather than families that want pups as an impulse.
And we already got 2 dogs, i don't want, or feel ready for a third one at the moment.

Re: So damn pissed off.

any chance you can just tell your family that you have already found approved homes for the puppies. homes that can handle them and shouldnt have any issues with them. and that you cant go back on your word of giving the awaiting owners the pups?

Goodness, I am so sorry Erick! I know how much you care about both of your dogs as well as the pups. I hope you will not give up and keep fighting for the benefit of the pups, at least they have you on their side. :(

Yeah, but my family wants them out before they are 2 or 3 months old, the future owners also agree with me.. that dogs shouldn't be younger than 2 months to leave their family.
