Wow! As the owners of micheivious Jacks, all I can say is: "How can you give your Jack more independence and energy? Mix it with a Husky!!" I hope they find a very athletic and adventuresome owners!!
I just looked at your photos. Is Flash a short-legged JRT? His shape looks a lot like my short-legged JRT. I didn't even know they came in a short-legged variety until I got mine from the Humane Society about two months ago.

In the USA

The short legged variety is called the "Jack Russel Terrier"
The Longer legged variety is called the "Parson Russel Terrier"


IN the UK

The Short Legged variety is called the "Jack Russel type"
The longer legged variety is called the "Russel Terrier"

The PRT is the AKC show variety. The JRTCA dogs are called 'Jack Russell Terriers' but they are long legged.

I've always heard the short legged ones called 'Puddins' or 'Shorty Jacks'.
