Slipping on floors

My 18 month old Labradoodle has started slipping on my vinyl floors and hence is hesitant to walk around this area. He was fine until now and used to run and play everywhere. If I put boots on his feet, he will walk confidently, even if it is just one boot. At times he forgets and walks normally across, especially if he is excited about food etc. how do I work around this. His nails are clipped and hair around his paws are cut short.

In dogs entering K9 training fear of slippery floors is one test for suitability. The fear is rarely created by exposure to slippery floors. It is typically genetically based and these dogs wash out.

Yes to runners and carpeted walkways! A bad slip can be a very expensive vet bill and once a dog starts to scramble it can escalate as the dog panics.
