Slipping on floors

My 18 month old Labradoodle has started slipping on my vinyl floors and hence is hesitant to walk around this area. He was fine until now and used to run and play everywhere. If I put boots on his feet, he will walk confidently, even if it is just one boot. At times he forgets and walks normally across, especially if he is excited about food etc. how do I work around this. His nails are clipped and hair around his paws are cut short.

I don't know if this will help. I adopted a 1.5 yo Lab mix. He had no experience on hardwood floors. After slamming into walls, he eventually learned how to be careful on turns, glide around corners, and to begin stopping to account for the sliding. Maybe incremental build up of slow walking experiences could help her learn to adjust?
