How do your dogs deal when you guys are sick?

I have a sinus infection like woah right now and the hour long walks with Rosie are killer when you feel like doody. Then Rosie still needs playtime I've been getting pretty creative with her. I have a low back on my couch, so while i lay there with my box of tissues, i throw tennis balls over the couch down the back hall to give her some playtime.

i honestly feel bad for the poor girl. she gets lame playtime, a grumpy walking companion and a 9 pm bedtime...

what do you guys do for you dogs when you jsut are too sick?

Sadly, Mojo suffers. We try to get him outside at least in the yard for a few minutes every day but honestly, it's just not always possible. We've both been sick the last couple of weeks and thankfully the worst of it didn't hit us both at the same time, but it's been pretty rough on Mojo. I've tried to do more training but even that's difficult since my voice is gone and we've been trying to phase out hand signals. I have been giving him more RMBs though, it keeps him entertained and eases my guilt...

I have to admit that I tend to neglect my dogs somewhat when I'm sick. I'm one of those people who you do not want to be around if I'm sick. I tend to feed them in the morning, kick 'em in the back yard with a kong and go pass out somewhere. I have a feeling that if I had kids I'd probably treat 'em the same way.

Do you have anyone you can sweet talk into walking her for you? Our neighboor will take our dogs for a half hour walk when we work long shifts for $5. Seems kind of silly to pay someone to walk your dog when you technically can, im sure, but if it helps you feel better quicker and keeps Rosie happy then everyones a winner.
