Hey all, just need your opinions.
First off, my dogs are not crate trained, and I do not intend to crate train them for anything other than attending classes, and giving them a space that is all their own.
I trust my older dogs completely by themselves, Kali is getting there, and she can be left alone by herself nearly all the time.
Our local pet supply place has Sof Krates, a soft mesh and fabric crate with steel supports on sale for 50% off. A 42 inch crate, which would fit Kali is 202 off sale, and 100 or so on sale. I wanted to get this crate only for the reasons of taking obed classes, or taking her to work with me.
She is the kind of dog who needs breaks, a space to gather herself. What do you think? Should I buy the crate? Should I take the obed classes?
By the way, I am a pretty capable trainer myself, and she knows all the required behaviors for the class, but I want to get her used to working around people and working around other dogs.

I have 2 soft sided crates and they're great for dogs that aren't destructive. Aside from their lightness and foldability I especially like the mesh....it keeps the flys and mosquitoes out.

You would want to crate train her so she doesn't paw at the sides or she can rip it. Otherwise, I think they are great to have with you when you need to go places.

Thanks guys, I think I'm going to get it. None of my dogs really need to be crated at home, though Kali likes sleeping inside things so that might be kind of cool for her. I was thinking to use it more at class or if I take her to work with me. She stresses really easy and I hope using the sof krate can give her a place to recollect herself.
