Hey i think Ronin has had a major setback with his potty training. He's been going to the bathroom outside without any incidents for a little while now but this morning at 2 am he woke me up to take him outside. I opened the crate and he immediatly ran for the door i didn't even have time to leash him or anything. so i go up to follow him next thing i know he pee's on my carpet. I yell at him no and he stops, assuming hes done i go get the cleaning supplies and i come back and see that now theres another spot and he ran upstairs to my parents room. i have to go up stairs and retrieve him fairly harshly, i don't want him to go to my parents room ever, i then have to restrain him with the leash and clean up the mess. Then in the middle of the day i let him out to go to the back yard to do his business which he does, i then bring him back inside and bring him to my front door to put on my shoes and get ready to bring him for a walk and he goes on the carpeting in the front of my house. i have to clean that up too. i bring him for an approximatly 3.5 mile walk so he gets fairly tired, he pee's before going back in i eat, then feed him and let him out to pee again. And so he's laying down on my kitchen floor looking like he's going to fall asleep so i bring him to my room so i can keep an eye on him while i play some games or something. When i get to my room i put him down and he gets up and i go I M someone and turn again not even 30 seconds between looks and i now see an expanding puddle beneath him, i get really pissed this time and pick him up and bring him and lock him in his crate with the lights on, i again clean it up. I'm pretty sure he's responding to the whole pack leader thing, he generally listens, he walks behind me, i eat before him, i don't let him do anything that would make him believe he's dominant. I don't understand what the heck could have inspired him to pee on my carpeting 4 times today. I really hope this isn't the start of a new trend. I have tiled floor for his parts of the house for just these types of accidents but he didn't go on any of that today, it was pretty much as soon as he was hitting the carpeting. I'm more than certain my carpet doesn't smell like grass, and i do discipline him every time he tries to do his business inside, so anyone with any kind of ideas for me to try to stop him from going in the house. He's 4.5 months old now and i've been trying to teach him to go outside for at least 1.5 months now, when will he understand it's not ok to go inside the house? Should i try to feed him on the carpeting now or something, but mind you he has pooped and pee'd in his food bowl before. I'm really starting to lose my patience with him. I mean he was doing fine for a while every so often at night he might wet his bed, but i always cleaned that up and sprayed the de-oderizer on it. He kinda seem's like he's not learning. I would really like some help ASAP.
