Hi,

i just wanted to say thanku so much to everyone whos helped me on this forum, everyone has been so kind while my Miniture daschund has been so poorly over the last 2 years. Well i took her to the vet 3 weeks ago as she had a bloated belly and her spine was very prominant, she had an ultrasound scan and it showed tumours on her liver or her spleen, the vet said if the tumours were on her spleen he can remove it, so he booked her in for 3 days after as it was bank holiday weekend. but the day before the operation i got up in the morning to find her laid in her bed slavering and she wouldnt move, i was destraught but i knew deep down this was it for my poor baby, i couldnt let it go on. i took her to the vets and just constantly cuddled her and whispered in her ear how much i loved her. It was very peaceful but heartbreaking, i dont know how i can live without her in my life, she has left a massive hole in my heart. She was my life.

So a massive thanku to all who ever replied to me and helped me on here it was very much apreciated

Andie x

I am so sorry for your loss. We are possibly facing the same desicion you had to make! We have been in tears for days now everytime I look at my baby. But we are still hoping for the best!

I understand how hard that was for you and how sad it is. Just remember that he is in a better place running free and feeling great!

Hi Mandy, im realy so sorry that your facing what i have just been through, its something i would never want to go through again,You are right i keep trying to think that she is in a better place now, but i miss her so much the hurt seems to last 24/7. i think the worst time is when i wake up in a morning and as soon as i open my eyes i remember she has gone, and the hurt starts all over again. I feel a little better now i have her home (i had her cremated) i have her on my bedside table in a lovely varnished urn with her name engraved on it, People say it gets better in time, so im thinking of you in this terrible time, i know its going to be hard and the anticipation is worst.

all my thoughts are with you xx

Hi Dearnie, I so sorry for your loss. We had to have our 19 year old Boston Terrier put down 2 years ago after he had a stroke. It was so very hard to do but it had to be done. Athough he had a very long life it was still hard to let him go. We have to do what's best for our babies in the end. We owe it to them. We have a 14 month old Boston now and we love him very much. I hope time heals your pain and your memories are happy ones.
