in the process of adopting a two year old rescue dog, a lab. We recently found out the dog had really bad infections which caused both ear drums to rupture. We were told that properly treated, the ear drums in the dog would grow back in 2 - 4 weeks.
Has anyone had this experience before, or know of similar issues ... and is it true that ear drums on the dog indeed grow back ? ...
we also assume that the dog may also be more prone to ear infections in the future ... reviewed internet sites ... which also stated the possibility of neurological complications ... which make sense ... if the infections were sever enough to damage the inner ear ...
