Here are photos of Rigby taken last week. He is in pretty grand condition for an 11.5 year old. In fact, he can still lure course. He is the joy of my heart... (along with my husband and my new baby (human) boy, born March 25!).
He is very good with my baby:
And, he has a wonderful life here in Florida. In addition, he has enjoyed seeing the world with me throughout the years. I will soon post more of him, and share our magical years together. He easily earned championship points, and he had no trouble succeeding on the coursing field. He has also helped me foster and rehabilitate many, many rescue dogs. He has shared me graciously with senior dogs I adopted and kept, puppies I raised and trained and then found forever homes for, and many others. What a star- he knows my heart and mind better than I do.
I am terribly sad to say I don't have any shots of him coursing! I hope to god I get some before it is too late.
I do have some (not scanned, this was before digital cameras!) shots of him being slipped by me, and of him as a dot in the distance. But, I really want some professional ones.
There nothing like watching a Whippet run. There are TONS of Whippets out here, they seem to be a popular breed here. I'm surprised they don't have a Whippet Specialty. Well post some as soon as you get some please! They are poetry in motion.
For those on here who own English Springer Spaniels, if you could post some pics of your English Springer Spaniel dogs or puppies?
I'm a blogger and I just wrote a blog on English Springer Spaniels the other day, and I'm looking for some good pictures to post of English Springer Spaniels.
~ I...
From the left: Maddie, my son and daughter-in-law's miniature long-haired dappled dachshund- an 8-year old rescue. Franklin, our shitzu/Jack Russel rescue we got last January. And Molly, our 12-year-old lab/weim mix.
To call them amigos is a misnomer. Franklin loves every dog, cat and human...
Sometimes I have just one or two cute pictures to share, and I don't want to start a whole thread for them. So here's a thread for everyone's one or two cute pictures, I'll start.
Maisy fell asleep with her Kong, LOL.
