Retrofitting my wheels in an attempt to make them more dog friendly. Extra large hamster water bottle to keep the pup hydrated. Dog seat cover to keep the original seat cover clean. And a dog seat belt, if i ever get pulled over for speeding hopefully the officer is a dog lover, he/she sees this setup they'll tear that ticket up fast. Keep your eyes open in the review arena, will eventually post some in depth reviews of these items...

I have no expectation whatsoever of being let off of a speeding ticket. The crates and air circulation fans are strictly for the dogs' well being and safety.

That rig, particularly the hangar hook and the bottle nozzle, looks like an accident waiting to happen. If there's a passenger airbag it's even more dangerous.
Ditched the hanger/bottle idea for now. The hanger rig was only a prototype to see if the bottle would workout. Totally blocks access to the glove box and Bosco isn't using it anyway. For now its back to using bowled water during stops. My jeep doesn't get the best gas mileage, so water breaks will be frequent...

Here is my set up. Water bowl carrier is fixed to the bars of the crate door and can easily be removed. It is always in there though empty when traveling over non interstate roads because it will slop.
The crate is made by Zinger and is lockable.

Note the shovel handle... that is fir anyone who messes with my track. I can bury the bodies .. 😂

Impressive cage setups. Most of our roadtrips include other baggage so caging it isn't really feasible...

That's awesome, ban I ask where you get those fans? Do they plug Obrien a 12v outlet?

It's a homemade system I designed and manufactured myself. I've also made several other custom versions for fellow dog enthusiasts, which incorporate 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 fans. Example pictures of 6 fan controller unit below, picture 2 shows powerpoiint plug for scale.

Yes, they plug directly into any vehicle's 12V powerpoint outlet. The fans are highly efficient. Amperage draw is extremely minimal So, little to no chance of a dead car battery at the end of the day, provided the vehicle's existing battery is healthy. Typically rated for between 50,000 to 100,000 hours of service. I've been using mine (intermittently of course) for over 10 years now, completely without failure or maintenance. I've never had any of the other systems I've made returned for any sort of wear or breakage issues. No complaints, in fact nothing but praise and positive feedback.

I believe that my dogs, and other people's dogs, have truly appreciated my efforts.
