LOL! "Did you lose your job...HORRIBLE...but that just means you have more time to take your dog for walks or play frisbee".

That's classic.

I love the idea, but, if you have no finances and no job...how do you feed and vet the dog? Also he suggests a GSP and a Weim...both high energy dogs. The recession will end eventually, and people go back to work...while that beautiful Weim no longer gets all the exercise they need and destroys the house...hmm...good idea to get dogs out of shelters, bad idea making people think "I need a dog even though I can barely afford to live".
But, 6 of one, half a dozen of another. Great vid!

That's a good question AC...but I myself (as you have seen) am trying to take advantage of this recession to get myself a really nice bitch :)

I've gone through hell making arrangements, and I don't even know if she's going to BE here yet x.x

Given all the money the pet industry is STILL bringing in - I think pets are "recession proof"

I should buy stock in PetCo.

Thanks for posting. I love Ben Stein. While I admit the financial side of getting a dog would be an issue for someone who has been laid off, I love the sentiment. Dogs, like ice cream, never let you down. How many things can you say that about?
