I just brought home an adult french bulldog who is in need of TLC. She was kept in a lot all of her life and was really dirty when I first brought her home. I've already washed her 3 times and she is still a mess. There's a thick crusty gunk on her belly and teats. I've scrubbed and scrubbed and it won't come off. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this is, could it be an infection? It's not like they've layed in oil but rather a crusty dirt. No swollen areas or lumps. Any ideas to try and remove it are welcomed. Would vaseline be ok to try? A vet check is soon.
