Hi all,
Totally new here, so be gentle.
I did a search to find others that might be using blue ridge beef products and found a few older threads and was wondering who else uses their products. I have been using them for about 6 months and love the results so far. I have two boxers now and have had others in the past that had issues I feel we're related to feeding dry kibble. Both my dogs have been fed BRB products since I acquired them at 8 weeks. I feed a variety of their products plus raw meaty bones without any other supplements. I have read on this forum that some folks are not pleased with BRB due to a lack of them offering the exact percentages of organs, meat, bone in their products. I use their products because I tried the so-called prey model for a while and found it messy and very imprecise as to what my dogs were eating and what was lying around the yard. With the ground meats, bones, organs in BRB products I can tell exactly how much and when they are eating with absolutely to mess in the house from carcasses being eaten. My wife is all for raw feeding, just would not stand for the trail of greasy chicken legs being dragged around the house so BRB was my choice due to availability, low price, consistent quality, and my dogs absolutely love it with no issues of pickiness. I first tried the so- called prey model, then once the wife said no more to that I went with Nature's Variety raw and Aunt Jeni's raw because both were available locally and they wouldn't even touch the stuff. Both of those are a sort of homogenized meat and veggie mix. BRB has no veggies or other items mixed in, just meat, organs, and bone depending upon the variety you chose.
Anyway, sorry for being long and somewhat rambling, I guess I sound like a spokesman for them, but I just wanted to know of experiences good or bad from other folks using this food and maybe just relate my progression in the raw feeding realm. Bottom line for me is that my dogs are healthy and growing well. Btw, my vet is totally against raw feeding and even she is very impressed with the health and appearance of my dogs, maybe over time she will at least be more open to raw feeding in general. I live in an isolated area and don't come across many raw feeders here and no one that has even heard of BRB.
