Ranger had his instinct test today. The handler said that he had a perfect first time. The one thing that I noticed was he was distracted by either the other dogs or buy me and my wife.

It was a test of his instinct for herding. The handler took him into a pen with the sheep and kept him working around the sheep. He never tried to grip them:) She dropped the lead for most of the test. She said he did everything for a first time in the pen and when a spot opens he will get into a class.

There was another aussie that did as well. And another dog that kept gripping the sheep.

I'd love to take Shadow to have er "instincts tested". I believe she'd do quite well, but I can't find a place here that does them.

Ranger is gorgeous by the way.Black tris just melt me.

That sounds very exciting! And good for him for doing so well. Just like he was born to do it. :) He's is beautiful!

I'd also love to take my dogs for their tests. Maybe one day.
