Funny you should say that! I had the same thought. :- ) He appears to be mostly Shiba Inu, and they have been called one of the most "cat-like" dogs. Besides perching in places like a cat, he also has characteristic tendencies towards aloofness, indifference, and independence. But he is a big sweetie, too!
My cat is a dog cat, but still likes perching on things. He also always has to be in my face & follows me around the house. If i sit down, he settles himself in my lap.. meows at the door (like barking, but his kitty version), and he wants to please me? Like that cat knows tricks... I tried doing the same with the other cats in my home and they walk away. My family is jealous of my cat! but too bad, he bites you if you're not me. Waha!
