Hello, my name is Woodstock, I live in Croatia and I am 14 years old.

We have 2 dogs, a golden and a border collie, the collie is 7 years old now and she had puppies 4 times now, each time 8-11 of them but my grandparents don't want to keep them and frankly don't know what to do with them so my grandpa takes them away the next morning they come to this world and kills them and burries them in the back yard, it's horrible, the worst thing is that the mother knows they are there, she can smell them but cannot find them, even 1-2 weeks after it she is lost, sad and agressive sometimes which is reasonable for me, but not my grandparents, they just lock her up all day.

Thing is that we live in a village where every dog here is a hybrid of a hybrid, and we can't give them away or sell them even though I AM trying by asking everyone I know... I don't know any shelter or something that we could give them to... this MUST stop!

This will happen again next year, PLEASE help me! :( I could really use an advice!

Can you have her spayed? Try calling any rescues, vets or shelters and asking if they know of anyplace that offers low cost spaying. If that isn't possible, keep her contained when she goes into heat.

Keep them separated when she's in heat or spay or neuter one of them.
This.

Either try to get your dogs fixed or at least keep them separated when the female goes into heat. If it's neighborhood dogs or strays getting her pregnant, put her inside or in a kennel while she's in heat and watch her when she's outside alone.
This is not only awful for the puppies that are losing their lives for no reason but it's putting a lot of stress on the body of the mother and probably on her mind as well. It's beyond stressful and upsetting for a caring mother to becoming suddenly separated from her babies.

I strongly suggest you have your parents/grandparents spay/neuter them, or if that is not an option then they need to separate the dogs when the female is in heat.

This is a really really sad situation that should not be happening. You should definitely convince your grandparents to get their dogs fixed or at least one of them. If your village is small you can always call your local vet and they can probably point you in the right direction as far as spaying/neutering goes. Make sure that if the female dog is outside she is constantly supervised so that this does not happen again and good luck to you.

What a sad situation! Good on you for trying to find a more humane solution. The best one (as everyone else has said) is spaying or neutering. Probably spaying the female would be better than neutering the male, as that would prevent her from getting pregnant whether by the golden or any strays.

There appears to be an animal rescue shelter in Dubrovnik, but I don't know how far that would be from you. At the very least, they can probably help getting your grandparent's dog(s) spayed or neutered.
