hey guys, i am worried about my little poms teeth, her top K9's are starting to get a brown tip, it seems that the tooth is either stained or is dieing or something, i take good care of her teeth but i wanted to know why her teeth are looking that way, she is almost 3 years old. she has a tiny bit of plaque build up on her back teeth but other then that her teeth should be fine... any thoughts or ideas on why they are looking the way they are?
thanks.

It may be tartar build up or a cavity. I use petzlife oral spray for my dog to maintain his teeth but lots of reviewers said that it removes tartar build up very well. Others on this site gives their dogs raw bones which does the same thing. If that doesn't work, see a vet.

she gets raw bones as well, and seeing how its at the very tip of her teeth and is a little sea threw i don't think its tarter. maybe cavities .... i worry about the sprays.. i will have to look at the one you are talking about tho.

i hope it is not that, though i can take her into the vet for a check up any time for free thanks to banfield at petsmart. after looking at it again tonight and brushing her teeth, it doesnt seem as bad as before so maybe it is some type of stain or build up... just at the point of her k9.. >.> lol

I'd have it looked at by the vet just to be sure, especially since you have a Banfield plan. I've never seen or heard of anything like that. As you mentioned, normally tarter doesn't start at the tip of the tooth.
