I took my dogs to the woods last week and sure enough we came home with some new friends: ticks!

This is the first time they have gotten these nasty little critters. They use Frontline. The ticks we have pulled out seem to be dead so I'm assuming the Frontline is working.

My question is this: will the dead ticks fall out on their own or will we need to pick them out?

So far we've found 2 on each dog but the hunt continues!

Sometimes they fall out, and sometimes they don't.
last month I found a long-dead, shriveled up tick on my neighbors dog.
SO, its best to look your dog over fully, just in case. Its better to be safe than sorry, 'cause they can lead to infections and whatnot.

Thanks! These little critters are grossing me out. I'm cleaning my whole house now like a maniac, hoping that it will make me feel better! :)

My poor dogs. I hate to think that ticks are on them. We look and look and see nothing and then we look again and find something. So frustrating! Now I'm worried that they're all over my house too.

lol, I know what you mean.
BUT, its just a natural process. The only thing you can do is to try and prevent them in the first place.
