Hi Everyone,
Me and my partner have just got a 9 week old springer spaniel. My partner works from home and I go to work from 8-6 everyday. I’m really struggling to get my puppy to listen to me, he listens to my partner but just thinks I’m there to play. I’ve tried training with treats , making my voice stern but nothing works. It’s started to get to the point where my partner is getting frustrated at me as he doesn’t understand why the puppy listens to him but not me.
I’ve tried to explain that he spends all day with him and his voice is a lot firmer than mine.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as it’s starting to get me down and I don’t want it to cause issues with my partner .
Thank you

You just got your dog, allow some time to gain your dogs trust. It takes time for form a relationship. Spend time playing with, and feeding your dog.
