i have had a cavalier king charles for 3 weeks now, he is 13 weeks old he is so friendly and a big ball of energy, today he jumped of the sofa and he hurt his back, he is at the vets, he has to stay in overnight and get an x-ray tomorrow to see how much damage there is. i am distraught, cant believe this is happening. he was still walking afer but his hind legs keep collapsing when he walked. Does anyone have any experience with this. what the worst case scenario could be?

I'm sorry about your pup. Many times, steroids, given soon after an injury can reduce swelling which returns leg function. Worst case, paralysis. Second worse, surgery. But the pups age is on your side, and steroids do work in many cases. just takes time.
