We're going to visit my mom in about 10 days It's just a day trip, this time (though a *long* day). By the time we go, Kylie will be all of 8-9 weeks old. She will obviously not have finished her vaccinations by that point. My mother has one dog, who is UTD on his vaccinations and healthy, but she also has an unfenced yard and lives in an area where dogs occasionally roam.

I don't want her outside, there (our backyard is fenced, which also keeps stray dogs *out*, and means I feel safe letting her use it). Will letting her use puppy pads there, for one day, create some major housebreaking problem? By the time we visit next, she will have been fully vaccinated and it won't be an issue. If it WILL, does anyone have any brilliant plans for countering any confusion on her part?

Can you put down a puppy pad outside and carry Kylie out to use it? That way, she is still getting the message that she needs to eliminate outdoors not indoors.
...I have no idea why I didn't think of that.
