I have a border collie/red heeler puppy. He’ll be 5 months on the 23rd. I got him when he was 8 months, and he had grown normally until about 3 and a half months. After that, I haven’t really seen much of a difference. I’ve seen both border collies and heelers his age and they seem a lot bigger than he is. Is this normal? He eats enough and doesn’t act strange or anything

The way you expressed the dog's age is confusing.

You say he will be 5 months old on the 23rd and you got him at 8 months old........

What is his age now?

He may be full size, if he is 8+ months old.

Ahhhh....that makes more sense.

You got him at 8 weeks old, he is now about 5 months old and has not changed size in the last 1.5 months. I assume this is the corrected timeline.

Have you been weighing him? If so, what did he weigh at 2 months, 3 months, 4 months and 5 months?

I don’t remember what he weighed at 2 months but I think he was around 12 pounds at 3 months. He was 18 pounds at 4 months and now he’s 20.
