I have a 5 month old Australian Shepherd, and she is perfectly house trained when she is at home. I have used a cage to help potty train her and it has really worked, but when I bring her around to other friends houses, where other dogs are often present, she will go to the bathroom in their house. I have tried taking her outside every 45 min separate from the other dogs and it doesn't seem to matter, she will still go potty in the house. I don't understand why she hasn't gone to the bathroom in my house in about 2.5 months (with the exception of a couple accidents) but will continually and predictably go to the bathroom in my friends house. Can anyone give tips about getting the puppy potty trained in ppls homes other than their own?

Thanks!!!

The house training isn't complete yet as evidenced by "a couple of accidents" in your own home....much less others. You need to get the point where she reliably lets you know that she needs to go out for a potty break.
