Hi guys. I recently changed my puppy food from Purina Pro Plan (http://www.petco.com/product/100688...-Rice-Puppy-Formula.aspx?CoreCat=OnSiteSearch) to Blue Buffalo(http://www.petco.com/product/112073...-Oatmeal-Puppy-Food.aspx?CoreCat=OnSiteSearch).
I did this starting sat morning and haven't had any issues till yesterday(Monday) afternoon. She started having diarrhea. The only treats I've given her was (http://www.petco.com/product/6439/Gimborn-Pro-Treat-Freeze-Dried-Treats.aspx?CoreCat=OnSiteSearch) bought it on sat too.

Was the change of food all of a sudden too much to her stomach? I didn't realize I was practically out of Purina till sat but there was still one cup left so I mixed it with the Buffalo till I was out of it on sunday.

Or should I buy another pack of Purina and slowly mix it in with the Buffalo mix? Or another food brand?

I did the same switch over recently, but slower. I mixed food for just over a week, however considering how much more Purina was required compared to the Blue, I switched her to pure Blue this week. Stools were a little soft for a day, but firmed up, she does have some raunchy gas I'm hoping will pass (no pun intended). You may want to buy some more Purina and settle her stomach or you can try some pumpkin puree (no spices) to firm up her stool.

I'm afraid that you switched over too fast. You may wan to buy a small bag of Pro Plan and start the switch over again, more slowly. A switch should take at least 2 weeks; longer, if your dog has a sensitive stomach. BB is a much more nutrient dense food than Pro Plan, and you'll need less of it to properly feed your dog. Overfeeding can cause diahrrea, as well.

It is most likely overfeeding. If you compare the two feeding charts, purina's amount is almost twice as much as blue or any other brand. I think you should get a small bag of pro plan and start mixing again just to be on the safe side. It should take2 weeks max so either way he will eat the small bag of pro plan anyway. Remember to feed LESS as you start putting more Blue Buffalo.
