I have finally found a puppy class here! I moved here just a couple of weeks before we got her, and I have no car yet so it has been difficult. But, the local groomers has a six week course starting at the beginning of August. It is for ages 12weeks-1year, and Ruby will be 7months by then. The first meeting is without the puppies and will be to go over contracts, hand over money and we will be given an overview of what the class goes through.

What do I want to look for in a puppy class? I like that they have the orientation before the classes start, but it is only $60 for the six-week course which seems cheap to me. Is it? What should I be looking at on that orientation?

Usually the orientation is to go over the class agenda, what to bring the first night (type of leash, collar, what to wear, etc), talk about your class expectations, provide handouts, discuss general behavior issues, introduce each other/tell the class about your pup (age, name).

The price is reasonable. Our area runs about $75 for a 6 week class.
