Hello,

My JR is almost 6 months old now and her latest problem is she's chewing the edge of the carpet. She'll grab the edge and rip off a string of it. I've told her 'NO' and sprayed it with bitters. As soon as I turn my back on her she runs over to the area and grabs a chunk.

I walk her 2 times a day for 30 min. I play frisbee in the yard for 30 min as well so I think she's well exercised.

Any ideas what else to do?

Thanks!!

Are you giving her things that she CAN chew on? Toys, bones, bully sticks, kongs? That would help redirect her chewing behavior onto something more appropriate.

You can try spraying the carpet with one of those Bitter Apple (or something similar) sprays that they sell at the Pet Store, but I'd venture to guess she might be okay if given something else to gnaw on.
