I took Louie (16 weeks old) for his walk today and when we were reaching the house, he caught sight of a larger dog pulling his owner towards us about 10-20 feet away. He let out one loud bark and his hackles raised a little. I immediately walked him across the street to our driveway and told him to sit. I let him watch the other dog walk away across the street before going inside (he didn't break his 'sit' either).

Should I be worried about him being dog reactive, and did I handle the situation correctly?

Could be anything. Yesterday morning, kabota growled at man we passed on our first walk. We passed him today, and kabota as all wagging tail and soliciting attention. I don't read too much into isolated incidents.
