Hi there
I started my 4yo rescue (Mini foxy / Chihuahua) on Fluoxetine 7 days ago in an attempt to iMprove her separation anxiety.
She has a sensitive stomach and does best on high quality kibble normally, but she stopped eating so I’ve been trying to give her the meats she loves (beef mince, boiled chicken etc). This worked for a couple days but now she’ll go all day without eating - and she’s REALLY resistant to the pills. She’ll regurgitate it 5 times before I get it down, and I know it’s hitting her tummy worse without food.
my question is: is there a point where the impact on her stomach is too much? Is her reaction a sign that her body can’t handle these meds?
or is this common and will she get used to it?
many thanks in advance!
