I remember reading an article about how too much protein as a puppy causes growth spurts, and with this can cause weak bones and bone related problems.
Benji (8weeks old) started eatting rollover treats as a potty outside reward. However, the first ingredient is pork liver. My question is, if he is given this on a daily basis is he getting to much protein?

I believe what you're thinking of is calcium, not protein, in the role of bone issues in puppies and growth. Quality is what you should look for in protein.

It was def protein, i ended up asking the vet yesterday and she said as mentioned above be more worried about a high protein puppy diet causing growth spurts as apose to his 'yummy' treats.
