We have a Jack Russel who is around 10 years old, and for a few years I have been feeding her Purina Pro Plan's senior dog kibble, which is the Bright Mind (special nutrients for senior dogs that are supposed to treat or prevent dementia). Just for the record, she is showing no signs of dementia at all.
I have seen some tests online that suggest that these supplements can improve cognitive functioning (others were inconclusive), but I'm wondering if that is the same as treating dementia.
Has anyone here seen a senior dog improve their symptoms of dementia, after feeding them the Bright Mind line of Pro Plan? Or gotten great results for umpteen years on that food, without ever seeing symptoms of dementia to begin with?
I did a search here and there are a lot of threads about dementia, and a lot about Pro Plan, but not about Pro Plan treating dementia.
