prevent stomach ulcer

Why would you be needing to worry about them? If the dog is on an NSAID, then give it on a full stomach ask your vet if you can give preventative Omeprozale (sp).
Generally dogs don't normally get ulcers unless they have a medical problem like Liver disease, or on some meds.
 
are they not caused by acid reflux or stomach irration?why do vet prescribe pepacid ac for an upset stomach
The question would be why your dog is vomitting or has stomach irritation. Ulcers are usually a secondary problem to another medical issue. Cure the first, and then heal the ulcer.
