FOr the preimum brands like wellness, and merrick considering how most of its ingredient is good to begin with, should l switch to raw food since its relatively the same ingredient that l would put into my raw diet?

I wouldn't say they're the same ingredients, it would depend on the kibble and what model raw diet you follow. And one of the whole points behind raw is it's raw, and not cooked. Doing a home cooked diet would be closer to kibble.

I agree with jesirose.

Raw and premium brands are really not the same.

Raw is raw. Kibble is cooked at high heat.

Raw is easier to digest.

Raw has a high water/moisture content Kibble is dry and requires more water intake

Raw produces small less frequent stools compared to most any kibble. Wellness makes mine have big soft poops. Not runny or loose but fairly soft and big in size. Merrick they have ok but not nearly as small as raw. They also have more gas on kibble then on raw.

Merrick is around 40% meat

Raw is almost all meat except for 10+% bone depending on the meal

Its all up to you what you want to do.
