One bell, placed by the door you take her out to do her business would be the easiest to train. Several bells around the house is likely only to confuse her in the training stage. Dogs don't generalize well and asking her to ring bell 1 on floor 1 and bell 2 on floor 2... and so on... is too much for most dogs. One bell, one door, one activity is the best route. We'd like to train Ruby to ring a bell when she's ready to go outside.
We have a 3 story condo, so I was wondering if I put a bell on each floor or just by the front?
Also, what kind of bell is best?
