My dog just lays around. I take her for walks at night but I don't really know what else to do with her

She's often quiet because she's had a lot of play and exercise at daycare

Do you do much with your dog after dinner? Or just kick back?

Mike gets his dinner once a day, in the evening, about the time we have finished it or right before. Afterwards, if it were up to him he'd go playing and exercising, but we make him stay at his place where he'll eventually settle down and rest. If we let him be he's just asking for a torsion, the idiot. :p
For at least two hours he needs to rest, after that we can go play again, sometimes we go out for an additional walk outside, but nothing too rambunctious because we aren't all that active at night, lol. Before we go to bed he gets his last walk around the block.

So basically, we don't do much with him after dinner. His busy part of the day is between 1200 and 1800.

In the winter she either plays with her toys or sleeps, it is now getting light enough that she can just about either play in the garden or out front on the green, when it is actually summer she often plays on the green out fron with the neighbours kids.

Hobbes has a very important after dinner ritual that basically involves jumping into our laps and chewing his nylabone. Every single night, right after dinner. He stays there and has his "after-dinner chew," as we call it, sometimes for well over an hour.

They usually grab a toy to chew on for a bit, or just come sit with us. After about an hour or so, they're ready for some fetch or chase or play in the yard. They get their walks in the morning and afternoon, so evenings are just cuddles and play.

I don't like to play with Luke right after his dinner as he has a tendency to throw it up if we do. So I wait till I'm finished eating and then (after 20min to an hour) we play. Or sometimes he relaxes by the dining room window and looks out and barks at whatever. Then at around 7:30 or 8ish, we take our final big walk.

All of mine want to get crazy and play hard. It is as if they have this huge surge of energy! I have to take their toys and make them settle down .. I worry about bloat so much ... I am becoming paranoid! UUgggh! Lol! :)
