I was going through my purse (admittedly a ridiculously large affair with way too much stuff in it) looking for something and got sidetracked counting poop bags - 4 at last count, I think. Got me curious so I checked other places. My briefcase: 1. My car console: 2 + emergency zip locs that can be used for the same purpose. Pants pockets on laundry day: good for at least 1-2 every time. Coat pockets: 1-2.

Now my dog is on a restricted diet and only poops once/day. 3 of those days/week she does her bidness at daycare. On the other days my husband does the poop (aka perp) walk with her. I'm the fun one who likes the long leash and ambling walks. He gets all the poop. So why in the world are there so many poop bags in my life? No answers. Just musing.

How many poop bags do you have with you at any one time? Do they seem to breed like mine do??

I keep 31-45 bags with me at all times - 3 rolls of 15 in a little bag that attaches to the base of my leash. That's exactly as many as will fit inside the bag.

I'm sure mine multiply..but then, I'm a dogwalker by profession so I'm kind of crazy about having more than enough. Some for Cracker, some for the others and at least a couple for the folks I run into who have run out or who seem to always "forget" to bring a bag (the non pooper scoopers). I have found it very handy to make these people feel a bit uncomfortable by offering "Do you need a bag?" when it's pretty obvious they meant to leave the pile o poo behind..lol.

I have unlimited bags for free. I get all I need from the on leash dog park across the street. I usually grab 3-4 at a time just in case they run out and I always have enough. I do the same for the on leash dog parks I go to. Haven't had to buy one poop bag yet :).

My sister uses the plastic grocery bags she gets from the supermarket after shopping. Why people go out of their way to actually buy bags made for picking up poop I have no idea when there are so many plastic shopping bags people get.

I always keep two in my 'walking bag' and a full roll outside next to the garbage can :) I used to just take one on our walks, until she decided to poop twice once, and I had to use her treat bag to pick it up >_<

well, we have to buy our plastic grocery bags too, so i figure i will use re-usable grocery bags and buy biodegradable poopie bags :) also, i have cat and ferret litter to deal with so i have to have bags for that and grocery bags always have holes

I carry 15 doubled up grocery bags when we got out (five in each car as well). On any given day I use 5-12 depending on how far we go. Neighbors, friends and family are always bringing around wads of bags. But we still run out sometimes. When that happens we're forced to stay home. Those little rolled up baggies can't handle the shear volume of some stops. Luckily, the state hasn't been able to gather enough support to ban plastic grocery bags... Yet...

Sooo glad I don't have to pick up giant poops...I can fit two or three poops in one plastic grocery bag. I usually carry one or two depending on how many dogs I have with me, and I keep one or two in the car all the time for if we go to the park or my moms house or something. I've been caught short one time, and I grabbed a plastic sleeve from someones newspaper...figured they'd rather have a naked paper than poo in their yard.

I used to bring a bag holder with a roll of 25, until Bailey decided to chomp on the clip that connects the holder to the leash. Now I bring 1-2 but the park where I walk him has free bags. It's funny though, I find (clean!) poop bags everywhere, in every jacket I own, pants pockets, my car, etc. Don't leave home without them ;)

I always have about 3-10 bags on me, if i go for a walk i only need to take 1-2 bags with me cause my dog just poops one time in a walk, i hate when my doggie poops and i dont have a bag on me, i sometimes forget it but now im trying to remember having few bags on me always :)

I have about 20 bags in the car.

I have a ridiculous amount. One roll in my purse, a dispenser on Rowdy's leash...and then I have a stockpile of loose ones in my both my car and my apartment, courtesy of my last apartment complex who provided them free.

And it's safe to say, I don't mind sharing them when I see someone NOT picking up after their dog.

The usual places...glove compartment in the car, pocket of every pair of pants and every jacket I have worn on a walk during the week, purse. Inexplicably, though, I have a poo sack and a pile of dog treats in my desk at work (I'm a teacher). I don't honestly remember why they're there...I assume they were in my pocket when I arrived at work and I didn't want them to fall out at an inopportune time.

We get ours at the dollar store-only $1 for like 50 bags. Awesome.
We have one pack in the house and one in each car (2) -well, two in one car because we forgot the dog bags one day (they got taken out of the car) and bought some more.

We only take one out with us places because she poops once and if we return to wherever we have the poop bags (house, car) we grab another for the next time.

I bring one or two with me on walks in my purse or pockets, since Basil has never gone more than once on a walk. I always grab a couple bags whenever we walk (we go through a park that has a little bag dispencer) or go to Petsmart, and I have yet to buy any, lol! Basil's bag-o-stuff (I take a little bag of his things with me whenever we go someplace in case he needs them) has about a half a dozen of them in there. Heh, yesterday while I was doing laundry, I found at least one bag in every pair of pants, though, lol!
