Can anyone advise me to another board then that may be able to help me with advice etc regarding my rottie with ruptured disk and spinal corde damage?

I am not getting anything on here. She can't walk well and I need advice from people who have gone through this!

I would think your vet would be able to tell you more than any of us could. It's possible no one here has any advice. I'm sorry your poor girl is having this trouble...

I have lots of sympathy for your poor girl, but no advice; I haven't experienced it. If it's a common rottie problem, you might look for a breed-specific forum. I think it's just not something most of us have personal experience with.

Good luck! I hope your girl improves.

As someone mentioned - look for a breed-specific forum. I have a diabetic dog and i joined a diabetes canine forum for advice. Try to google and you should be able to find what you're looking for.

I wish I could help you but I have no experience with this. If you need answers that you are not getting from your vet I would suggest maybe getting a second opinion from another vet. Even vets can differ in their experience with particular ailments. I hope you get the answers that you need.

I can't help with your specific problem, but you might want to look at taking your dog to a veterinary college with a teaching hospital. You're in Indiana so Purdue might be the ticket. I took a couple of my dogs up to Cornell U. (a 4+ hour drive) to get them diagnostics and treatment that I could never have afforded locally. That was a long time ago so I don't know if it's still the case, but the big vet schools had much more reasonable fees than the local animal hospitals.
