Living alone I need to make sure I socialize my puppy but she hasn't gotten all her shots yet. Any 'safe' places to take her so she can see and meet other people. Or should I wait until her last puppy shot, which will be a the end of this month?

We will be starting puppy classes soon but I really want to make sure she is socially adjusted and friendly :)

One of the best places to socialize a puppy is at your local park. A park generally has both adults and children there so you can socialize them together. I would keep it away from other dogs until the puppy has it's last shot. But socializing with humans should be ok.

Take her to the office, invite some adults over to the house, invite some kids, walk past a construction site, go through car washes, ride an elevator, have her walk on different texture surfaces, walk a plank, climb stairs, meet a cat. Socialization is all about building confidence with the sights and sounds of the world....her new world.
Do all the things that she will be exposed to as she grows up. What you're really looking for is sensitivity to sounds and/or sensitivity to sights and then helping her cope/grow confidence with those things.

When Uallis was a pup, one of my favorite places to take him was and still is Lowe's. ;) They have all types of people, young, older. All kinds of noises like dropping lumber and the sound of machinery. Shopping carts and people in wheelchairs. I still take him there and Eddie as well, although not as frequently.

Of course, you'd have to find out if the Lowe's in your area allows dogs in the store. Mine does...but I imagine not all of them do.
