I have two Rat Terriers, Sheba and Samara. Both of them are almost 3 years of age. We adapted them from a humane society, and proud of it. About 2 years after getting them, I started to walk the two of them every afternoon for about 20 minutes to take care of business. Recently though, whenever I take them outside to use the restroom, I'm getting the "feel sorry for me" act. I run them out my front door and say "take care of business" and Sheba comes running back to the door and lays down and Samara gives me the "abused" look and rolls over on here back and pees on herself. What can I do to get them to use the restroom outside instead of having to take them on a walk to do so??

One may be acting out when the other does so I think it would be worth a shot to see if they still do it when walked alone. If they don't act out then walk them alone for a while before trying them together again. That is just something I would be doing with my dogs if I had your problem.
