Hello everyone. I recently started working at a healthy pet center where we sell only the best for dogs and cats. I will learn a lot from the crew but i am also interested in getting more educated on pet nutrition. i cannot afford school so that is out but i would like to do some reading. anyone know of any good pet nutrition books out there?

go to (or go to the website of) schools that have vet schools. they will have books listed in their bookstore (sometimes its online) or in their library database about animal nutrition. from thre you can pick out a few books and then look them up online at amazon or something.

It's not a book, but the newsletter Whole Dog Journal has done probably the most extensive investigations of dog foods I'm familiar with. Very objective and they're not trying to promote any one diet (wet, dry, cooked, raw, blah, blah). Only concern is the health of the dog.

You might contact them and see if they've "compiled" any of the articles into a book form.
