I found this list on another website that quite acuritly discribes the differences.

But this one is different.
Pets shed. . . . . . . . . Show dogs "blow coat"
There is a difference between shedding and blowing coats. Shedding is when a dog loses fur, no specific amount, just that it does, but it doesn't vary a whole lot throughout the year. Blowing coats is a term limited to specific breeds, when they seasonally shed MUCH more than usual. My Rotties shed year round, but a few times a year they can shed piles the size of a Cocker Spaniel (blow coats) on a daily basis. LOL That's typically the soft undercoat too, not the coarse outer fur.

Hmm funny, I have pets and I say my dogs blow coat, and I do take stacked pictures of my dogs as well. When stacked a dog is stood a certain way.
