I'll just do colored pictures.
I feel like a Shaprone?
I call my group "my entourage", because they hang right with me, a Shepherd on each side and slightly behind, with the other two in a wider circle.
i don't feel like a chaperone, i feel like a part of where i belong....i feel like a part of me is missing when i have less than 3...and i'm still getting used to just the 3 on a regular basis....the past 2 days we had our 4 BCs and Kilo (the white GSD), Carson (Goldie) and Zaida (another BC) (we were dog sitting) and having them all around me felt right....feeding them all in the kitchen i'm looking around at no floor space and thinking "this is how it always should be"....

any pics will do for me.....
Some people call it their pack, but that has all sorts of behavioral implications that don't always work.

I love this, made me smile. :)

Well, chaperone and entourage don't exactly translate behaviorally, either. :) I mean, we're not actually supervising young single dogs to make sure they stay pristine, as a chaperone would... and these dogs aren't helping with our makeup and appointments, as an entourage would... I call my dogs a pack, but I don't regurgitate food for them, reproduce by mating with one of them or think they are wolves... :D

Where are those pictures?
I wouldn't call it being a chaperon, maybe just a "mild supervisor". J.C. has developed a new habit, which he thinks is funny, of running up behind Holly and trying to pull her tail while she's trying to poop. He's driving us both crazy with this. So I must "supervise" so Holly can poop in peace.
But if they're all hovering around me, I just tell them to "GO GET IT!!!" and all three run off in different directions until someone brings back a toy.

Obviously, you need a Border Collie to be your sixth. :D
