Pee pads in multiple locations

I have a 2 month old Yorkie he is currently in the process of being house broken, he is currently confined in the bathroom with a pee pad is bed food and water, I was wondering if I could put pee pads in another location in the house but also keep the one in the house, I ask if it’s possible because my cousin has a Maltese and she has her pee pads in two locations in the house (I want to do this when I know for sure he is housebroken) thanks in advance for your advices, opinions!
