What a cutie! That is correct, only a vet is going to be able to properly examine her eyes and offer a diagnosis. It's actually against this forum's rules to try to diagnose anything or give advice for a problem that hasn't been diagnosed by a veterinarian. There's just too much risk of a suggestion, even a well meaning one, worsening the problem when it comes to medical issues, or delaying necessary medical intervention.
Many vets are now set up to receive photos, though, so you may only need to call and see if you can send the photo along. Then they can more accurately determine whether you need to come in, or if it's nothing to worry about!
