What books? I feed raw food to my healthy dog and a carefully researched and prepared cooked food to my sick dog. Dogs can live on just about any food, we here like to find exactly the right one for our dogs. A combination kibble fresh food diet is good stuff. I have to 'marinate' my sick dog's food in water otherwise she gets dehydrated as drinking water is really low on her list of preferred activities.

Here is some more reading for you. The owner of this site is putting out a book soon too.

I learned so much from this site as well. The owner is a co author of a new dog cookbook that seems very good to me. It is on amazon and much of it can be read online to see if it is something you would be interested in pursuing.

If you want to get into how much zinc, lysine and folate your dog needs then Monica Segal has a book out complete with lots of charts so you can get completely obsessed.

I was wondering if that was who it was! I just found her blog and read that posting a couple days ago. I watched her cable show long ago and just love her. When I read her books and online I imagine her reading it out loud. I bet she likes to feed oatmeal as she has border collies.
