We spent a week on the river in North Georgia. We had lots of fun just relaxing and playing at the river. Here are some pictures that we took. The first one is a picture of all of my girls: Belle, Treasure, Olivia, and Gracie the Golden. Gracie has been diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure and has been given only three to six months, so this was a very special trip for us.

Treasure learned she loved being in the water. Olivia liked it somewhat and Belle didn't like it really at all. Gracie used to love to get in the water and she did a little when I went out with her; but because of being sick, she was content to just sit next to me and enjoy the sights and sounds of the river.

Here is a picture of Treasure in the water.

A picture of Treasure and Olivia looking to see what they can do next.

Olivia loved all of the high decks over the river. Here she is looking down from one.

Olivia is such a ham and jumped up on the bench for me to take a picture.

Gracie went to the edge of the little sidewalk to get a drink and fell into the water. The Westies were so concerned for her and went to make sure she was okay. The Westies have been so concerned and loving of their big sister, Gracie.

Treasure with her dirty face after playing.

Olivia has Treasure beaten, though.

Treasure looking back from the river. She's wanting us to all join in.

The girls all met a new friend while at a river. His name is Chance. Here they are checking out their new friend.

Olivia says, "Let's go play, Chance."

Treasure telling Chance that I am her mommy. She was somewhat jealous when he wanted to spend alot of time with me.

Princess Belle. She is my oldest little girl, but will always be my baby girl.

Olivia watching all the puppies playing in the front yard.

We went on so many walks that even the dogs got to the point that they said enough is enough. Here is Gracie saying enough.

Olivia looking out over the river.

Treasure saying thank you, Mommy, for bringing me to the river.

Wow those are all beautiful pictures! I can't even decide in which one I like best! Maybe the Olivia resting pic... or the group pic towards the bottom...

Cute! I love the one of them making sure Gracie is ok!

Thank you everyone for the kind replies. The Westies are so good with Gracie. Since she has been showing symptoms, they go up to check on her and to love her. It has just amazed me at their attentiveness and care.

Very nice pictures...looks like you had a fantastic time. And I'm sorry to hear the news about your Gracie...I hope your last months together are all this happy.

Thank you, all, for the best wishes for my Gracie. The Westies and I are doing our best to show our Gracie just how much we love her. She is doing pretty well at this time. She gets a special diet, medications, and twice a week SubQ injections here at home. The injections are the worse part for me, but I can see a difference since I have been giving them to her. But, thank you ALL for your kind wishes. At this time, Gracie is a happy girl with a zest for life and that is the most important thing.

Thank you so much. The pups and I had a wonderful time. It was fun just watching them explore all of the new sights, sounds, and most important--smells of the river. Those two were two of my favorite pictures, also. I had so many, it was difficult choosing which ones to post. Thanks for the kind remarks!

Thanks so much. Gracie is an extremely kind and gentle soul. There could not be a kinder dog than my Gracie. She has filled my life with so much love and loyalty, I only hope I can honor her and give her some joyous and wonderful final days.

Thank you about my Gracie. My little Westie girls have been so attentive to Gracie and I know that she feels loved and so very special. She is a dear soul and we are so much better to have her in our lives.

As for Westies, I just love them so very much! I will always have a Westie as long as I am able to care for them. They are the perfect dog for me. I also never get tired of looking at pictures of them and love to take pictures.

It is great to know that there is another Westie owner here also. Your little Westie is adorable!
