 O.k here goes, We just got this awesome Lil guy by far one of the sweetest dogs I have ever known. But I am getting a little controversy on his breed.I was told when I got him he a mixed breed that is a given, I have had a few people tell me he looks like he has Pitbull in him, not a real issue for me is he does, but I am afraid of neighbors or certain people making a deal out of it.As I said too sweet,he plays with the kids the cats and loves the birdies...Also I was told he is a hound.I would love honest opinions on what you think he has in him. Also if anyone does think he is a Pitt mix,Do you know if Fl. law for Pitbull applies to mixed breed dogs?I am a little nervous. Here is a few pic's.Thank you! http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt312/floppywoowoo/3k93m23o6ZZZZZZZZZ93sce68d844b1eb1e.jpg http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt312/floppywoowoo/100_3772.jpg http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt312/floppywoowoo/3n03pc3l0ZZZZZZZZZ93s9eb31c179a6418.jpg

The last pic looks kinda pittie to me but it's hard to make out well. The other pics don't look pit to me at all. I could buy hound mix most definitely.

He could have some Pit in him, or he could not. There are thousands of mixed breed dog who look very similar but have no Pit in them at all. In any event, if you are concerned about the neighbors' opinions, you have lots of incentive to make him the best dog EVAH! Put the time into bomb-proof obedience training and lots of tricks that make people say "Awwwww".

He sure is a handsome devil. He looks like he was born to have fun.

Sorry...no guess as to breed, except that he's a cute one.

To make life easier, I would license him as a hound mix and have that put on your vet records.

This is what makes BSL so frightening, in my opinion. Where does it stop?

Most everyone "in the know" thinks my new dog is a boxer mix. However, others with less information tend to think she has pit in her. WE don't care. But I know that I'm going to have to be extra-vigilant because if anything ever did happen with her, I know that she'd be labeled a "pit bull-type dog" and she wouldn't get the same type of leniency as, say, a poodle or golden retriever. Not to mention that it would be just another piece of bad press against actual APBTs.

I'm hoping to use my dog as a springboard to educate people about BSL, if they're willing to listen. :)
